Discussion: What are you most looking forward to in tech?

Well, the sticky, shvitzy days of August are upon us.  We've passed the mid-year hump and trudge our way towards the upcoming holiday season.  This year, we have some nice surprises to look forward to as some of giants of the tech world pull back the curtain on several of the most highly anticipated new developments in the world of technology.

From Redmond, WA, Microsoft brings us the new generation of Windows for servers, end-users, and mobile devices (i.e. Server 2012, Windows 8, and Windows Phone 8, respectively).

From Cupertino, the (fill in the blank because no one knows for sure what it will be yet) will be unveiled as the newest addition to the (2nd*) family of iOS devices (*Hint: the first family of devices having an operating system named IOS belongs to Cisco).

From Mountain View, everyone's favorite little green humanoid robot is already starting to roll out its next-gen platform, deliciously named Jellybean, with the bulk of new devices that have this latest version built in still yet to arrive (though most aim to be out by the holiday shopping season).  In addition to this latest version of Android OS, there are various other technology tidbits that our friends at the GOOG will be unleashing between now and the (predicted) Mayan Apocalypse.

And those are just the major releases from the big three Operating System vendors.  The holidays usually bring with them a whole slew of other new technological developments and products from all sorts of other sources.

So, what upcoming release from the technology world gets you grinning?...
